The national dish is the Plov. A rice meal with beef, carrots and onions. It is prepared with garlic, salt and cumin. Plov has a long tradition in Central Asia and its preparation varies by region.
All dishes in Pamir have a multicultural influence, especially from countries such as Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan.
